Following the positive response from the International Summer School, CSIE conducted the International Winter School spanning 10 days from January 3rd to January 12th, 2018. Led by Professor L.S Ganesh from IIT-M as the lead faculty, the program saw enthusiastic participation from all participants that included among others students from Germany and Indonesia. The classroom learning and discussions were interspersed by field visits and interactions with renowned entrepreneurs and prominent Social Enterprises such as Amitava Bhattacharya from Bangalanatak.com, Ajith Narayanan from Invention Labs etc. Exposing the participants to basic concepts and fundamentals of Social Entrepreneurship, they also found the course useful with its right mix of discussion on fundamentals and success stories from various sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, energy and livelihood sectors.
